Tuesday, August 12, 2008 Farewell to Former Dean, Colleague, and Friend - Gary Kiger
Gary Kiger, former dean of Utah State University’s

College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences, died Monday, Aug. 11, in Salt Lake City at University Hospital after being transferred from Logan Regional Hospital. His friends and family, including his wife, daughter, and sister-in-law were with him at the time of death.
A memorial service is planned Friday, Aug. 15, at 3 p.m. at the Logan Golf and Country Club (710 North 1500 East). A reception immediately follows at the Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Gary Kiger Scholarship Fund in the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Anthropology. More

Monday, August 04, 2008 Jeannie Thomas named Interim Associate Dean
Utah State University professor of English Jeannie Banks Thomas has recently been named Interim Associate Dean of the Arts. Her major assignment as Associate Dean will be to provide leadership to the collective arts-related activities and curricula in HASS by working with the various units of the college, as well as engaging in collaborations with other Utah State University units, and with local, regional, and national venues. In addition, she will serve on the Dean's Executive Team, as well as work with the Development Officers of the College and university. More
